About the Role:
We are seeking experienced and passionate substitute teachers to join our team at Scoot Education. As a substitute teacher with Scoot, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of schools and students, while enjoying a flexible and rewarding career. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and support students in a variety of subjects and age groups, from kindergarten to high school
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities to promote student learning and engagement
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and school administrators
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience
Essential Qualifications:
- A background in education, or a related field, with a passion for teaching and learning
- A valid 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit or CA Teaching Credential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and school administrators
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, with a focus on promoting student engagement and motivation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Knowledge of curriculum and instructional strategies, with a focus on promoting student learning and engagement
