Job Overview: Substitute Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our team in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. As a Substitute Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with students of all ages and backgrounds, from kindergarten to high school, and make a positive impact on their educational journey. This is a 100% remote position, giving you full control over your work environment and the flexibility to choose when and where you work. Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality teaching and instruction to students in the absence of the regular teacher
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, inclusive learning environment
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure seamless continuity of education
Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and support student learning
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful as a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will need:

An Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
A New Jersey Substitute Credential
A background check and TB risk assessment (we will cover the cost of this)
Full COVID-19 vaccination
A passion for education and a commitment to putting students first
An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be
