As a result, a full-time position is available for an Entry level Traffic Engineer in our Warrenville, IL office.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing field observations of traffic conditions and traffic data collection
- Traffic engineering operations analysis and modeling
- Traffic safety studies and crash data analysis
- Design of traffic control devices in AutoCAD/MicroStation
- Preparing technical reports
- Serving as on-site engineer in a client office
- Assisting traffic engineers with other tasks such as solving complex problems while developing familiarity with the federal, state, and local design standards
A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited college.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
- Transportation engineering or planning degree
- Passed FE exam
- MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience
- Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, MUTCD experience
