Your two main goals:
Grow our email and SMS list (we want to double it)
Increase sales from email and SMS
You won’t be responsible for content creation, but you will be in charge of keeping the operation running smoothly, including coordinating with other marketing team members, content creators, and scheduling systems.
What You Will Do
List Building (Top Priority)
Create and run strategies to grow our email and SMS list
Improve popups, landing pages, and sign-up forms
Build quiz funnels and lead magnets
Find new ways to capture subscribers
Track what's working and do more of it
Run the Email & SMS System (Top Priority: Sales)
Take content from our founder and handle everything else: add photos, format, schedule, send
Build and manage all automated flows (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back)
Decide who gets what message and when (segmentation)
Keep the email list clean and healthy
Test and improve performance over time
Make sure nothing breaks—you own the system
Substack Newsletter
Format and schedule posts (founder writes the content)
Add photos and images
Keep the subscriber list organized
Track performance
Reporting
Track results every week, report to manager.
Find problems before they become big problems
Report what's working and what's not
Writing (Sometimes)
Write and proof emails- this is not your main job, but you should be able to do it when needed or be ready to repurpose content

Experience Required
2-3 years of email marketing experience (minimum)
Must have ecommerce experience selling physical products
Must have experience with Klaviyo
Must have experience growing an email list
Experience with SMS marketing
Beauty or skincare industry experience is a plus but not required
Skills You Need
Strategy and Logic
You can think in systems
Proficient using AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva.
You understand what makes people subscribe and what makes them buy
You can look at data and decide what to do next
You know how to test ideas and learn from results
Psychology
You understand why people buy
You know how to build trust with skeptical customers
You understand how to sell to people who have been disappointed before
Technical
You know Klaviyo or a similar email platform very well
You can build complex automations and segments
You understand email deliverability (how to stay out of spam)
You can use Substack to format, schedule, and manage posts
Execution
You are organized and reliable
You do not let things fall through the cracks
You can take content and turn it into a finished campaign without a lot of hand-holding

• List growth & Sales (this is #1 & 2)
• Revenue from email and SMS
• Conversion rate (people who buy from emails)
• Flow revenue (money from automated emails)
• Open rate and click rate
• Unsubscribe rate and spam complaints
