Job Summary
As a Customs Brokerage Representative II, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and communicating documentation discrepancy issues with customers and foreign origins, auditing commercial documents, and ensuring compliance with federal requirements. You will also handle general customs brokerage activities, office tasks, and data entry.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and forward customs entries to designated locations, interfacing with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers.
- Follow up on the clearance process for all entries prepared, communicating documentation discrepancies to clients and supervisors.
- Coordinate freight delivery to designated locations, resolving finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues.
- File entries to customs via GBS-CM in a timely and accurate manner, meeting allotted and sensitive time requirements.
- Establish and maintain client relationships, providing exceptional customer service.
- Perform administrative tasks, including preparation of reports/presentations and analysis using various software packages and databases.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, and regulations.
- Basic computer skills and understanding of the HS system.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
