Key Responsibilities
- Trailer Scheduling & Management – Coordinate ad‑hoc trailer assignments, handle cancellations, execute NCSL flips, and perform VRID swaps to keep the yard moving.
- System Operations – Open and close trailers in the SSP (Shipment Scheduling Platform) system, ensuring real‑time visibility and accurate data for all stakeholders.
- Outbound Load Posting – Post finished outbound loads into the Chime OB Chat, flagging under‑utilized or unsecured trailers for immediate action.
- Trailer Pool Oversight – Monitor the trailer pool, escalating any units that dwell longer than 24 hours to prevent bottlenecks.
- FIFO Enforcement – Maintain a strict First‑In‑First‑Out order for inbound trailers, protecting inventory integrity and reducing dwell time.
- Departure Scheduling – Support early departure coordination for outbound loads, collaborating with drivers, yard supervisors, and dispatch teams.
- YMS (Yard Management System) Alerts – Identify dwelling trailers in YMS, promptly notifying supervisors and inbound managers for corrective action.
- Audit & Reporting – Conduct under‑utilized trailer audits using advanced Excel functions, document discrepancies, and present actionable insights.
- Equipment Tracking – Track usage of scanners, straps, seals, and labels; create and follow up on equipment cases; manage return processes.
- Supply Management – Order and inventory non‑stock supplies such as load straps, seals, and labels, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
