About the position
We are seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to join our team. This position is fully remote and is expected to last for 12+ months. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), or as a cloud support engineer. The role requires a strong background in cloud platforms and containerization technologies, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Provide support for cloud infrastructure and services.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop and implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Ensure observability in systems through log aggregation, monitoring, and alerting.
• Design and manage predictive alerting platforms using monitoring tools.
• Administer Linux systems and modern web services architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
• Document best practices, operating procedures, and test plans.
Requirements
• At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, SRE, or as a Cloud support engineer.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes.
• Excellent skills in Python, bash, and scripting.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or similar.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Chef.
• Experience with containerization and cluster management technologies like Docker and EKS.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and container orchestration.
• Experience in designing and managing a predictive alerting platform.
• Proficient in Linux system administration.
• Experience with Git.
• Ability to build tools from scratch when needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
