About the position
Responsibilities
• Prepare and deliver training sessions on EMR systems to clinical end users, including nurses, unit clerks, nursing assistants, ancillary clinicians, and physicians.
• Use a variety of training delivery methods, such as classroom instruction, unit-based training, eLearning, web-based sessions, and one-on-one coaching.
• Develop and maintain training materials, including course manuals, eLearning modules, webcasts, participant guides, and competency assessments, ensuring alignment with clinical learning needs.
• Collaborate with clinical operations, informatics staff, and IT personnel to assess learning needs and design effective training opportunities.
• Analyze and select the best training methods based on audience needs, complexity, and desired outcomes.
• Create and update procedural guidelines for EMR workflows, ensuring alignment with training materials and actual clinical workflows.
• Participate in unit and integrated testing, including developing and updating test scripts as needed.
• Ensure the training domain and environments are functioning correctly in collaboration with the IT team.
• Design and implement competency assessments to evaluate users' proficiency in EMR workflows.
• Complete the Trainer Curriculum, covering training delivery, instructional design, and eLearning/webcasting standards.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• 3-5 years of clinical experience as a nurse, with additional experience in a hospital setting and clinical informatics.
• Proficiency in instructional design, training delivery methods, and healthcare technology.
• Strong collaboration skills to partner effectively with clinical and IT teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
