Build 6-Page WordPress Site for Teen Community Club
DESCRIPTION:
I need a clean, mobile-first WordPress website for Mindforge Thousand Oaks - a local community for teens (12-16) with uncommon hobbies and intellectual interests in Thousand Oaks, California.
Initial focus: Speedcubing, Pokémon TCG, and Coding/AI (designed to expand to other interests)
Domain: mindforgeclub.com (already live with WordPress installed)
Target completion: 5 days maximum
Budget: $225 USD fixed price (I will separately purchase the $99 Events Calendar Pro license)
WHAT'S ALREADY DONE:
✅ Domain registered and pointed to hosting
✅ WordPress installed on Hostinger Premium
✅ SSL certificate active (https working)
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
1. BASIC WORDPRESS SETUP & CONFIGURATION
Required:
Set up proper 301 redirects:
HTTP → HTTPS (force SSL)
www → non-www (or vice versa, client will specify)
Configure permalinks to SEO-friendly structure (post name)
Remove default WordPress content (sample post, page, comments)
Set up two user accounts:
Admin account for the client (strong username, not "admin")
Editor account for client's son Ryan
Configure privacy settings (discourage search engines until launch - we'll toggle this off later)
2. THEME & DESIGN
Theme: Astra (free version)
Use Astra Starter Template: "Creative Agency" or "Business"
Customize colors to warm blues/greens (trust + creativity vibe)
Modern sans-serif fonts (Inter, Poppins, or similar)
Page Builder:
Elementor (free) - Use ONLY for homepage hero section
Gutenberg (WordPress default) - Use for all other pages (keeps site fast and easy for client to edit)
Mobile-first:
Must look perfect on phones (majority of traffic will be mobile)
Cards stack vertically on mobile
Form is single column on mobile
Site must score 80+ on Google PageSpeed Mobile, 90+ on Desktop
3. INSTALL & CONFIGURE THESE EXACT PLUGINS
Forms & CRM:

Set up basic tagging system: cube-forge, card-forge, code-forge, other-hobby

Configure RSVP functionality
Set up event categories: Cubing, Pokémon, Coding, General
Enable capacity limits and waiting lists

XML sitemap enabled

Install Meta Pixel (client will provide Pixel ID)
Fire "Lead" event on:
"Join Mindforge" form submission
Event RSVP submission
Email & Security:

Configure with Gmail or Hostinger's SMTP
✅ Wordfence Security (free) or iThemes Security (free) - Basic security hardening

6. CONVERSION TRACKING SETUP (CRITICAL)
Must configure:

Install via Site Kit by Google
Set up GA4 property (I'll provide Google account access)
Configure these as conversions:
Event: join_mindforge_form (fires on form thank-you page)
Event: event_rsvp (fires on RSVP confirmation)
Meta Pixel:
Install via PixelYourSite plugin
Pixel ID: (I'll provide)
Configure these events:
Lead event on "Join Mindforge" form submission
Lead event on Event RSVP submission
Test and verify events are firing (use Facebook Pixel Helper Chrome extension)
7. TESTING & QA BEFORE DELIVERY
Must test and confirm:
✅ All forms submit correctly and send confirmation emails
✅ Form data saves to FluentCRM with proper tags
✅ Events display correctly on Events page and homepage widget
✅ RSVP buttons work and track attendees
✅ All internal links work (no broken links)
✅ Site looks perfect on mobile (iPhone, Android)
✅ Site looks perfect on desktop (Chrome, Safari, Firefox)
✅ Google PageSpeed Mobile score: 80+, Desktop 90+
✅ SSL working (https, no mixed content warnings)
✅ Redirects working (http→https, www→non-www)
✅ GA4 tracking working (test form submission shows in GA4)
✅ Meta Pixel tracking working (test events show in Meta Events Manager)
✅ All images optimized (no huge file sizes)
✅ Contact forms deliver to correct email address
WHAT I WILL PROVIDE:

ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
This is for a local teen community founded by a 14-year-old who couldn't find peers with similar interests. The goal is to create a welcoming online presence that helps isolated teens find their people through uncommon hobbies.
The site needs to feel:
✅ Authentic and relatable (not corporate)
✅ Modern and clean (but not over-designed)
✅ Trustworthy to parents
✅ Appealing to intellectually curious teens
✅ Easy for a non-technical person to maintain
This is a meaningful project - you'll be helping build a real community for kids who need it.
