We are seeking an experienced brand designer to develop several branding concept options following a recent organizational acquisition.
We have an established logo and brand guidelines, and we have been acquired by a parent organization with its own distinct brand system. The purpose of this project is to explore multiple, well-considered branding approaches that incorporate a “By [Acquiring Brand Name]” designation and help leadership determine the best path forward.
All existing brand materials for both organizations will be provided.
Project Goals:
- Develop multiple branding concept directions that can be presented to leadership by our marketing team
- Explore options that either:
(a) Visually bridge both brands, or
(b) Fully align with the acquiring brand’s guidelines while retaining appropriate equity from the original brand
- Demonstrate how each option could work in practice
Scope of Work:
- Create several (2-3 or so) distinct branding concepts that include:
- Logo treatment options incorporating “By [Acquiring Brand Name]”
- Visual system elements (primarily color usage and typography direction)
- Apply concepts to a small set of mockups (e.g., website header, one-pager, or presentation slide) to show real-world usage - optional
- Provide a brief rationale for each concept explaining the strategic thinking and tradeoffs - optional
