About the position
The Product Strategist role at BlackRock focuses on supporting the Opportunistic Debt strategy within the Private Debt platform. This position involves collaborating with investment professionals to enhance investor services, marketing, and business development efforts. The strategist will play a crucial role in creating marketing materials, managing projects, and developing fundraising strategies while ensuring effective communication of investment content to clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities
• Providing day-to-day support in creating marketing and reporting materials for the Opportunistic Debt strategy.
• Assisting in the preparation of client and prospect due diligence materials, including RFPs and DDQs.
• Driving project management for various projects to ensure successful fundraises.
• Partnering with other teams to design and implement processes for improved team effectiveness.
• Assisting in developing the firm's narrative for its products and ensuring effective communication in marketing collateral.
• Collaborating with Product Strategy and Investment teams to communicate market conditions and portfolio performance.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from a top undergraduate institution; CFA/CAIA/MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional work experience in the financial services sector.
• Specific knowledge of Private Debt and/or Opportunistic Debt is a plus.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external clients.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in creating marketing materials is essential.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
• Fluency in English; other languages are an advantage.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in investment banking, asset management, hedge funds, or private credit/equity.
• Familiarity with fundraising strategies and investor relations.
