Responsibilities
- Legal research
- Drafting of pleadings motions and other documents
- Taking and defending depositions
- Drafting and answering discovery requests
- Trial preparation and trial assistance
- Communicate with both clients and colleagues effectively
- Local travel for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections and depositions
Skills
- Experience with general liability, professional liability, products liability, construction litigation, real estate, mass torts and/or class actions
- Legal research, drafting of pleadings motions and other documents
- Taking and defending depositions
- Drafting and answering discovery requests
- Trial preparation and trial assistance
- Ability to communicate with both clients and colleagues effectively
- Some local travel for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections and depositions
- Admission to the state bar of Maryland
- Experience with both state and federal courts
