About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and versatile Academic Tutor and Behavioral Coach to provide one-on-one support to students and their families. As a coach, you will be responsible for delivering tailored academic support, social-emotional skills training, and executive functioning skills coaching. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct coaching and tutoring support to students of all ages, addressing their individual academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Prepare engaging lessons and activities for each coaching session, ensuring alignment with client goals and objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with families regarding session schedules, student progress, and goal achievement.
- Utilize our goal-tracking system to monitor client progress and update goals portal regularly.
- Manage your schedule effectively, ensuring timely submission of worked hours and availability in TutorCruncher.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your coaching and tutoring skills.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral, social, and emotional challenges.
- Availability at least 3 weekdays from 3 pm to 7 pm, with flexibility for morning and weekend hours.
- Strong personal organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with online management platforms and excellent communication skills in multiple mediums (in-person, email, etc.).
- A valid CA Mandated Reporter Training Certificate of Completion (required before providing client services).
- Reliable transportation and availability during weekdays.
Preferred Qualifications
We welcome candidates with:
- A Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Experience working with diverse populations and age groups.
- Familiarity with evidence-based coaching and tutoring methodologies.
- Certifications in specialized areas, such as ADHD, autism, or trauma-informed care.
